Moving back to the United States in 2023 allowed her to participate in the“Doctor for a Day” program where she shadowed a physician at the Linda Manor Nursing Home. She observed patients at the Amherst Survival Center which inspired her to plan to minor in African American studies. She wants to address critical health disparities affecting African American communities.

‍Aceyla is a member of the National Honor Society where she led projects promoting community involvement and organized and supported peers in academic success. She organized multiple spring cleanings in local parks, tutored students in math and science and participates in an autism walk to raise money, awareness and support.
